About Polaris Flutes

Polaris Flutes is the premier flute ensemble in Boston’s North Shore and Merrimack Valley, encompassing many of the flutes in the flute family; piccolo, C flute, alto, and bass flutes. Performances include classical, and international favorites, jazz, rock and roll, ragtime, or movie and TV themes. From Bach, to Scott Joplin, to Aerosmith and Queen!

Composed of seven semi-professional and dedicated flutists who love their flutes and making music together, Polaris Flutes’ members come from various career backgrounds. All have vast experience performing with orchestras, community bands, chamber ensembles, mixed groups, pit orchestras for theatrical performances, as well as teaching and solo performing.

Polaris Flutes is proud to serve as Musicians in Residence at South Church in Andover. They perform and collaborate with South Church musicians during worship services. As part of the church community outreach program, Polaris Flutes will host and coordinate master classes for youth in the surrounding communities to give them the opportunity to learn from, and to occasionally play with professional musicians.

The 2025-2026 premier season of Polaris Flutes include concerts at Edgewood Retirement Community, Stone Hill Retirement Community, Watertown Porchfest, and Nevins Memorial Library in Methuen, in addition to worship services at South Church.
